Knowing the risk factors can help you to reduce the chance of developing breast cancer

Friendly Female Doctor Explains the Mammogram Procedure to a Topless Latin Female Patient

Early detection saves lives

Finding breast cancer in the earliest stage improves survival rates. so It's important to not only be screened regularly but also know your risk factors.

If you have dense breasts, consider requesting an ultrasound along with your yearly mammogram.

And, if the centre offers MRI testing, consider alternating between a mammogram and ultrasound one year and a breast MRI the next.  If you have a family history of breast cancer, ask your family doctor to refer you for genetic testing.
Healthy Meal

Healthy Diet + Body weight

You can significantly reduce your risk of breast cancer with good nutrition and weight management.

Your immune system is impacted by your diet. so eating a well balanced diet that includes fruit, vegetables, and lots of fibre can lower your risk of breast cancer.

Regular exercise is an important part of being as healthy as you can be.

More and more research is showing that exercise can reduce the risk of developing breast cancer as well as reducing the risk of being diagosed with breast cancer again.

Of particular importance to breast health are the chemicals known as estrogen disruptors..
